As a young, stressed, and slowly burning out general manager I find aggravation’s and stressors around every corner. The weight of the world constantly pressing down on me whether it be from personal or business reasons. Often times I feel trapped and hopeless. The one person I always am able to turn to is my mother, Shanti. She has always been a guiding soul and taught me many things and unfortunately I cannot always have her right by my side. However, with her Work book, Everday Ease, I can. Each chapter helps me dig deeper into myself and ways that I can cope with my daily stresses. The idea of writing it down, and being able to look at back it later is an amazing reminder of how things can be. It all begins with taking a few deep breaths...for those of you out there who fight the same battle as us hard working, determined, but yet slowly melting away; this is the book for you.

I have known Shanti for a few years now, attending Sangha with others seeking to find balance and peace in their lives. She is an amazing teacher, practitioner and soul. I have had a past with substance abuse, and with the help of her teaching in Mindfullness and the love of the Sangha, I can proudly say I'm three years clean and sober now. This book helped me look at things I do already in a different light. It didn't make me feel guilty for not 'doing', instead Shanti showed me how to look at things I already do, and see/do them from a different perspective. This book is for anyone who is super busy, yet wants to have a better quality of life. I highly recommend it.

This is an ease book, not a workbook. Shanti, the author, wants you to have more everyday ease. This book guides you to know your beautiful self again, increase loving yourself from the inside out, and feeds you with personal empowerment and sustaining confidence, she tells us.I think her FRESH approach is brilliant. It’s practical and easily doable. The first five chapters discuss the elements of creating your ease practice and the rest of the book is beautifully laid out, 42 days of logging (6 weeks) your journey. Each day has a new inspirational quote. There’s lots of lists and ideas to help you create your own customized practice.I bought this book from Shanti at a networking group we both attend. This book is pure Shanti. I can hear her words in my head as I’m reading it. She part hippie, part guru, ex-corporate women, and amazing. She has been practicing and teaching what she has written about and it shows in her calm and happy demeanor. She writes like she talks, things are, “super-important” and “songs that are annoying”. It’s very real and practical. It can be a life changer, if you do the exercises.

I’m a busy professional woman with 3 kids and a busy husband. To say that stress is part of my day is an understatement. After I heard Shanti speak to our organization, I knew I had to check her book out - and I’m really glad I did. It’s helped me to put things into a much different and better perspective. Things are getting easier, my stress level is down, and I just feel calmer. And I’m learning that it’s the simple changes I make that make all the difference. Highly recommended.

This book was a gift from a friend at a time when I needed ease from life. Its a great way to help put life into perspective and help you to put yourself first! I loved it so much I bought one for my sister and she loved it too! I really enjoyed the journaling part towards the middle of the book. Super easy to self teach mindfulness with this guide. Most of the books I've read on stress management and mindfulness seem to offer only theory, but this book actually showed me a path. With little tolerance for the esoteric, I found Shanti's guidance practical, reassuring and calming.
