I only wish I had had this book years ago. Fortunately, my man was also willing to read the book. Really helps to clarify that you can’t engage Logically with someone who is being irrational. I have lived what can happen when change happens, but I wasted many, many years of my life trying to engage with the craziness rather than have clear and simple boundaries and a plan (an Agreement) in the face of it. I would not recommend using this book without support of a therapist and other real life support and help. Abuse can suck the life out of you. But you can get life back if you Learn what abuse is and how to respond....And not to respond.
This book help me to understand what was going on in my relationship because I had never encountered a person like this before in my life. I had never really seen a true Jekyl and Mr. Hyde. It was unnerving watching him unfold so drastically so quickly, that I was desperately looking for answers. This book answered a lot of the questions.
