I don't recommend buying this cookbook. First of all, there are numerous typos in it, such as "add 1 (ingredient)." It doesn't specify cup, tablespoon, teaspoon. There are no page numbers. When you find the recipe that you're looking for in the index, it states a page. However, the pages are not numbered at all. Finally, There are flaws in the way the recipes are laid out. For example, the recipe for Chicken Tikka Masala doesn't tell you in the title that it's for a slow cooker. I looked at the recipe in the morning to make sure that I had all of the ingredients, but didn't read the instructions. When I went to prepare the recipe, it said to put all of the ingredients in the slow cooker and cook for 7 to 8 hours. I'm very disappointed with the cookbook and cannot recommend that anyone buy it.

This is a comic book....just without pictures. Not only was it not edited, it wasn’t even proofread or spellchecked.For example:Very lacking in information about the Dash diet. And, on occasion, just ignoring the tenets of the Dash diet.The recipes were most definitely not written by a cook. The list of ingredients does not correlate at all to the steps in the instructions.There are MASSIVE amounts of salt included in some recipes.The page number fiasco has been mentioned often in other reviews.But my favorite, one that just cracked me up, was the recipe for Zucchini Lemon Muffins. Sounds delicious, right? Nowhere in the list of ingredients or the instructions is lemon mentioned. Gimme a break.I do believe that a fairly experienced cook with reasonable intelligence could modify and use these recipes to gain the intended goal of the Dash diet.Just be forewarned that there is a very good reason this book is selling for $4.

This ebook gives an overview of the DASH diet plan, which addresses hypertension and also blood sugar issues (pre-diabetes), with a side effect of weight loss over time. It's very easy to read. First it gives an overview of the diet and background of why it was created. It stresses making simple, gradual changes to your eating habits to make lasting changes. Next it gives a list of specific foods in each category to include in your diet (fruits, vegetables, grains, etc), and recommended servings per day and week. There are many, many recipes included, and all are simple, tasty recipes that don't require fancy ingredients. Finally, there are several weekly menu plans in the book. It's a great resource for making healthy, needed changes to your diet.

I'm very disappointed that the recipes do not list the amount of sodium per serving. The carbs, calories, proteins and fat counts are listed, so why leave out the most important thing that needs monitoring for a person who has hypertension and needs a no/low sodium diet? I'm also disappointed that canned beans are used in the recipes. Canned bean are loaded with sodium. It's because of this I bought an Instant Pot in order to cook dry beans without salt or broth. This book feels misleading to me. If the writer/publisher would publish an 'errata' that includes the amounts of sodium per serving it would be more helpful.

This was not written by a professional. The blaring typo on the cover, DASH diet for Beginner as opposed to the legitimate book you should purchase that is called DASH Diet for Beginners.There is a numbered table of contents However the pages/recipes are not numbered. There is a recipe for Zuchinni-Lemon muffins but no there is no mention of lemons throughout the entire recipe. No nutritional value is listed for any recipe in the book and there are multiple typos. I find the page with the Legal Notice about copyright protection laughable.This book is a scam, don’t waste your money.

The recipes in this cookbook do not conform to DASH guidelines. The recipies include brown sugar, coconut sugar, white rice, lots of bread. Something is really fishy about all the 5 star reviews because this book is really aweful. Don't waste your money.

One of my friends recommended that I get this book because she found it really helpful when starting the DASH diet. I completely agree! This book is a great intro to the DASH diet. It is easy to follow and I can already tell that all of the recipies are going to be something that my wife and I enjoy! So far, we've only tried out 3 of them, but we can't wait to dive on into this cookbook and see the amazing results of our work!

I thought the book was very thin on facts and details. There is no diet outline, just recipes and a meal plan. No adjustment for the size of the person and the meal plan is incomplete. No serving size recommendations. For example, they have a beef stir fry as a meal, with no starches of any sort. Also, if a person is coming to the dash diet off of a traditional western diet, they would find many of the recipes extreme and off putting.
